Fabrice Tignac works of original photographs to the razor blade, and thus reveals another direction, removes material, the best identity for the spectator appropriates the image.
"There must be hundreds of steps to recompose the picture," said Fabrice Tignac, Plastic Artist.
"I remove the identity of each photograph by removing the eyes of each character.
So afterwards everyone can get into the picture, can reclaim the stage, seeing a memory ".
Fabrice Tignac working on a standard photo (10X15cm). Carefully, it requires small strokes of a razor, pressing more or less hard to remove the color. The photograph is then printed on a metal plate, which gives an effect of matter "I removed the material to discover a new".
The shaver features are there to show a re-staging of objects, like that little blue pool, a chair or a wind turbine. A building, a landscape, simple, unremarkable to us, gave him a basis to highlight the contours, essentially, to show what he is remarkable in this composition.

 

 

 

 

The photos come from these meetings. The "square" were found in a garbage dump, those in black and white, in a flea market and the third series, are from his hand.

 

 

 

 

Clear to reveal more.
"I started this technique on my invitations, it has been nearly 15 years. But it is especially during the last five years I have depth explored to make this a complete work" Fabrice Tignac has also previously produced many paintings, drawings, sculptures or installations.

"Il faut des centaines de gestes pour recomposer l'image", explique Fabrice tignac, artiste Plasticien.

"J'enlève l'identité de chaque photographie en enlevant le regard de chaque personnage.

Même les yeux de l'ourson du garçon, un objet qui l'identifie,ont été rayé, Ainsi ensuite chacun peut se retrouver dans la photo , peut se réapproprier la scène , voir un souvenir"

 

 

 

 

 

Fabrice Tignac travaille sur une photo standard (10X151cm). Avec minutie, il impose des petits coups de rasoir, en appuyant plus ou moins fort pour enlever la couleur. La photographie est ensuite imprimée sur une plaque de métal, qui redonne un effet de matière "J'enlève de la matière pour en faire découvrir une nouvelle ,"

 

 

 

 

Les trais de rasoir sont là pour refaire apparaître une mise en scène, des objets, comme cette petite piscine bleue, une chaise ou une éolienne.
Un bâtiment, un paysage, simple, sans particularité à nos yeux , lui serviront de base pour faire ressortir les contours, l'essentiel,de montrer ce qu'il trouve remarquable dans cette composition.

 

 

 

 

Les photos viennent de ces rencontre . Les "carrées" ont été trouvées dans une décharge publique, celles en noir et blanc, dans une brocante et la troisième série , sont de sa main.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Effacer pour mieux révéler

"J"ai commencé cette technique sur mes cartons d'invitation, cela fait bientôt 15ans, Mais,c'est surtout durant les cinq dernières années que je l'ai approfondie, explorée pour que cela devienne une œuvre à part entière "Fabrice Tignac a auparavant produit également beaucoup de peintures, de dessins, de sculptures ou d'installations.

 

 

 

 

"" la thématique de l'identité, du souvenir est importante dans son travail " il y a un effacement partiel de la photographie, c'est à la fois fort et sensible. C'est recomposer l'image qui me plait, elle devient ensuite partie prenante dans un grand album collectif, "Mais surtout, ce qui m'importe aujourd'hui, c'est faire réagir les gens"
